6 Days Kenya Maasai Mara

Day 1. From airport to Hotel.

On arrival by flight at the airport you will be picked by the tour guide with warm welcomes. Then in a nick of time you will be driven to your lodge booked, you are expected to relax from the exhaustion of the flight depending how long it may have taken on you flight. You may have a city tour, visit the Uhuru Park, the Jeevanjee Gardens, City Park, Central Park which has Jomo Kenyatta’s memorial, and Nairobi Arboretum. Transfer to Stanley Hotel where you will have your dinner and overnight. As you get warmed up for the next day’s adventure.

Day 2: NAIROBI – ABERDARES
Early in the morning immediately after your breakfast From Nairobi, take a 2hours and 30 minutes approximately drive to the Aberdares Country Club. You pass through the industrial town of Thika and the intensely cultivated farms of the central Kenya which mainly deal in farm products like milk. You relax at the Club before your lunch is presented to you at around noon. You are transferred in a lodge vehicle to The Ark after your lunch, one of the two famous tree hotels in the Aberdares National Park.
Aberdares National Park has a diverse topography that includes rivers when temperatures are extreme cold which tend to freeze, astonishing waterfalls and rain forests. The flora and fauna is quite unique and is of its kind of nature in the country, expect for a hike on Mount Kenya as you observe the beautiful scenery which attracts the eye wanting to see more and not getting enough of it. Leopard, elephant, serval, waterbuck, reedbuck, dikdik, rhino and the rare bongo can all be found here. You are sure to see elephants these large herbivores, buffalos and some other animals at the floodlit waterholes of The Ark. Birdlife is also plentiful with different species of birds of all colour and size, including the monkey eating crowned eagle. Dinner and overnight at The Ark after an exhausting drive.

Day 3: ABERDARES –LAKE NAKURU
After breakfast at the Ark, transfer back to the Aberdare Country Club. Then drive to Lake Nakuru in time for lunch at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge. Immediately after lunch head for an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park which you will never forget  as you view the  fauna.

Lake Nakuru is famous for its flamingo birds and they are numerous in their territory, having sight to this birds is one of the most amazing scenarios you will live to tell a friend. The lake itself is a soda lake on the floor of the rift valley it being salty. The flamingos feed mainly on the water animals in Lake Nakuru. The view of these birds at times of flamingos is quite outstanding to other habitants of other birds with their long legs and stout necks make them a different to other birds. From a distance from the lake it appears ringed in pink. The Lake has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Lions, waterbuck, buffalo and baboons are all residents here.

Day 4: LAKE NAKURU -MAASAI MARA
Early in the morning after breakfast, drive to through the Great Rift Valley as you critically observe the wildlife. By noon arrive at Maasai Mara in for a delicious lunch at Mara Sarova Camp. After a relaxation from your lunch go for an afternoon game drive where you can share with the wild till late in the evening.

The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been
recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas the so called greedy and smelly dirty animal, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place, not forgetting the famous white Rhino and black rhino found in this park. The most spectacular scene is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their backs are the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures which are anxious for a catch of their prey. This is an opportunity for the carnivore they use to maximise for a heavy meal of a season because once a catch is made its big and usually not one catch. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sarova Camp

Day 5: MAASAI MARA
Early morning game drive in the Mara. Return to the lodge for breakfast. You spend the rest of the morning at leisure. After lunch at the lodge you will head for an afternoon game drive till dusk Afternoon game drive through the park in search of the Lions, Cheetahs, Elephants and Buffalos. There are various activities in Maasai Mara and these include guided nature walks, Balloon safaris and most definitely the game drives. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sarova Camp as you wait on for tomorrow.

Day 6: MAASAI MARA – NAIROBI
Take the opportunity to fly over the Mara in a Hot air Balloon provided at extra cost, you should not miss this great experience. The balloon package includes a champagne breakfast in the wild with some snacks! If you can spare the money, viewing abundant game afloat in an air balloon is an unforgettable experience that you will not miss out narrating this great experience to your friends and family more so you grandchildren. After breakfast return to Nairobi arriving around to catch you flight back home.
